Dementia Awareness

This basic awareness raising single session course is perfect for individuals and community groups  with lots of questions. What’s the difference between normal memory loss in ageing and dementia? How is it diagnosed? How can I help people I know to live more positively with their symptoms? Recommended for volunteers and people running groups which may include people with undiagnosed cognitive impairment. Book a session for your group here.

For Family Carers

This highly popular short practical course for family carers of people with diagnosed or undiagnosed dementia has been offered since 2010 (previously known as DESK). Here is what previous participants said about it.

If you are living with a diagnosis of dementia or living with someone experiencing cognitive impairment, you can speak to a skilled helper in confidence. This service is completely independent of medical and social services, although you may be directed to suitable specialist services.
