We provide a range of courses…

Foundation – Dementia Awareness – Suitable for all including carers of people with Mild Cognitive Impairment or without a diagnosis of dementia. You can also book this course for your own community group of 8 or more people.

Family Carers –  Dementia: Essential Skills and Knowledge  – Suitable for family carers of people living with a dementia whether at home or in residential care. (The DESK course)

Couples – Living Well Together with Dementia – Suitable for any couple where one partner acknowledges a diagnosis of dementia and who both want to learn about managing the condition together

Communication and positive interaction : a short practical course for volunteers and professionals in touch with people living with cognitive impairment or dementia

Choosing a specialist care home – a one day short course for anyone interested in evaluating a care home for someone living with dementia

Kitwood,  attachment theory and living together with dementia – a bi-monthly peer group for those professionals interested in psychotherapeutic approaches to working with people living with dementia and their families.  Please contact Catharine in the first instance.

Domiciliary and Residential Paid Care Workers  – Accredited Certificate programme  in the Principles of Dementia Care- We are looking for expressions of interest from agencies and individuals.
